It is important to ask the right questions, to identify yourself:

    1. How are you organized?
    2. What is the competitive position of your company?
    3. What are you activities and products?
    4. What are the means you have to deploy those activities/products?
    5. Where are you deployed?
    6. What are your IBT, Cost, Margin, etc…?
    7. Who is your customer?
    8. How do you interact with your customer?

If you don’t have the big picture of your company, it will difficult to start the diagnostic.

SWOT method can be used to identify internal company strength, weakness and factors external that can be an opportunity of development but as well associated threats that impact this progress. On the left side, key elements, can help to well think the activity potentials. SWOT method can be used for at corporate level as well as operational level and for all functions.

 

The 7S McKinsey tool can help to well identify the company strategy, to see if the main components are aligned with the vision. For sure most of the answers will not fit into one row, answers need to be detailed in multiple pages. But it can help to visualize the progress or changement with associated KPI to the related axis below.
